About this speaker

Professor Todd Walker joined the University of the Highlands and Islands as our third principal and vice-chancellor on our tenth birthday in February 2021.


He is an accomplished clinical cytologist with strong teaching, research and consultancy credentials. He has a first class honours degree in medical biotechnology, a PhD in molecular oncology and a graduate certificate in university leadership and management, all from Charles Sturt University.


Professor Walker is an experienced university senior executive with a distinguished record of achievement leading complex university academic and organisational development.
