About this speaker
As mayor and chairman of the Employment and Integration Committee, I am responsible for the municipality's tasks relating to employment efforts, maintenance services and cross-cutting integration.
This applies to job search and placement, qualifying employment efforts, operation of Jobcenter Copenhagen, income transfers (cash benefits, sickness benefits, rehabilitation, unemployment benefits, etc.), reception of new foreigners and Danish education for adult foreigners.
The committee is responsible for coordinating the municipality's cross-cutting integration efforts, as well as auditing and following up on the municipality's overall integration policy. I am also responsible for the Copenhagen Business Service, which helps and guides companies to obtain the necessary permits, application forms and grants from the municipality and other authorities.
